How we work

PacketStream owns and operates its physical infrastructure directly. Because decisions about hardware and circuits translate directly into service quality and cost, we document the rationale behind them and verify the outcome through metrics.

01

Design and operations are not separated

Whoever designs a system also handles its deployment, operation, and incident response — and holds the technical decision-making authority for that area.

02

Automation of repeated work

Work performed manually more than twice is standardized into a runbook or converted to code. Our principle is not to carry operational debt forward.

03

Short decision-making path

Most technical decisions, including hardware purchases and circuit contracts, proceed immediately on the basis of the owner's evaluation.

04

Domestic sites, global customers

From sites in Seoul, Incheon, Hwaseong, and Portland we serve customers across Asia and the Americas. Writing technical documentation in English and communicating with overseas partners are routine.

Hiring process

From application to final notification typically takes two to three weeks. We respond at every stage regardless of the outcome. Timelines may be adjusted depending on the position and the candidate's circumstances.

STEP 1

Application

We review your résumé and a description of your experience. There are no constraints on document format.

STEP 2

Technical interview

A 60–90 minute session with the engineers you would work alongside, focused on problems from actual work.

STEP 3

Final interview

We confirm the scope of the role, expectations, and compensation terms in concrete detail.

STEP 4

Offer and onboarding

After finalizing the offer we coordinate the start date and onboarding schedule.

If none of the roles above apply

Even if your background doesn't map exactly to an open role, send us the area you'd want to own along with relevant experience and we'll review and respond. Some roles are filled on a rolling basis.
