Infrastructure Engineer, Baremetal

About the team

Design the baremetal, virtualization, and storage platforms and operate them across our domestic and overseas datacenters.

The Infrastructure team covers the full physical stack — rack installation, OS images, the virtualization layer, and storage backends. Baremetal, VPS, GPU servers, and block and object storage are all delivered on the platform this team operates. Our standing principle is to move repeated work into runbooks and code rather than accumulate operational debt.

About the role

You shorten the time from server intake to customer handover and make that process reproducible. Inventory registration, firmware and BIOS standardization, unattended OS installation, health checks, and decommissioning — the full hardware lifecycle is managed as code. For GPU servers, you also handle performance validation and deployment criteria at introduction.

What you'll do

• Develop and operate the automated baremetal provisioning pipeline
• Validate GPU server performance, define deployment criteria, and benchmark at introduction
• Build and operate hardware inventory and lifecycle management
• Standardize firmware, BIOS, and OS images; implement automated health checks
• Capacity planning and performance tuning for virtualization and storage platforms
• Write operational runbooks and automate incident response

What we're looking for

• 3+ years operating Linux systems
• Experience with remote server management via IPMI or Redfish
• Practical experience with IaC tooling such as Ansible and Terraform
• Have built operational tooling yourself in Go, Python, or shell
• Able to perform on-site work at the Hwaseong datacenter when required

Nice to have

• Hands-on datacenter installation and cabling experience
• Experience operating Ceph or other distributed storage
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as KVM or Proxmox
• Experience operating GPU servers or high-density racks
• Have built monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
