Due to a change in our service operation policy, PacketStream will discontinue domain registration, transfer, and management services. The schedule for the new order cutoff and the end of existing domain management services is as follows.
New Order Cutoff
Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 20:00 (GMT+9)
After the cutoff, the following requests will no longer be accepted:
- New domain registration
- Domain transfers into PacketStream from external registrars
- New domain management service requests
End of Existing Domain Management Services
Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at 20:00 (GMT+9)
After the end-of-service date, renewal, extension, and management of existing domains through PacketStream will no longer be possible.
If you wish to continue using a domain currently managed by PacketStream, you must complete a transfer to another domain registrar before the end-of-service date.
Services Being Discontinued
All of the following domain-related services provided by PacketStream:
- New domain registration
- Domain registrar transfers
- Domain renewal and extension
- Domain information and name server management
- Other value-added services related to domain registration and management
Domain Transfer Guidance
Domains currently managed by PacketStream must be transferred to another registrar before November 25, 2026.
If you need an authorization code (Auth Code or EPP Code), domain unlock, or verification of registrant information for the transfer, please contact PacketStream customer support.
If a domain's expiration date is near, the transfer may be restricted or an additional renewal step may be required. Please complete your transfer with sufficient time rather than close to the end-of-service date.
Important Notes
- After the new order cutoff, domain registration and transfer products may no longer be displayed in the dashboard.
- After the end-of-service date, domain renewal, extension, information changes, and name server management through PacketStream will not be possible.
- Domains not transferred by the end-of-service date may become unusable after their expiration date.
- Domain expiration or discontinued management may cause disruptions to websites, email, and other connected services.
- If registration information is deleted after domain expiration or the domain is registered by a third party, recovery may be difficult.
- Please separately confirm any DNS and name server settings required during the transfer according to the policies of the receiving registrar.
- Please understand that PacketStream cannot be held responsible for service disruptions or data loss resulting from delayed transfers, domain expiration, or a lack of action on the customer's part.
